 Christian Education

The mission of Christian Education at John Knox Presbyterian Church is to provide a variety of opportunities to nurture the Christian faith of children, youth, and adults.  With this goal in mind, we are intentional about providing opportunities to study the Bible as the central resource for nurturing our Christian life.

Vacation Bible School

We have an exciting Vacation Bible School which is held in June. Our Vacation Bible School is very unique in that in addition to learning about the Scriptures, the children also spend time in choral music instruction leading to a final musical presentation. The children and adults always have a great time during this week.

Children

Christian education is a vital component for children to be nurtured with the tools of the Christian faith.  At John Knox we teach Bible based curriculum for grades K-6th and through youth.  Our teachers are dedicated Christians who love children and understand the importance of guiding children through their journey of faith.

This Sunday School is studying a "New Creation in Christ"

This series focuses on the new creationin Christ.  Unit I consists of five sessions drawn from the prophet Ezekiel.  Gathered around the theme of "The Promis of New Life," the passages lead us to consider how the prophet's hope of restoration from exile bears on our expections of the new life God has promised.

Unit II "The Path to New Life, walks us down the path of Jesus' suffering and dying, rising and appearing.  The unit concludes with a pasage that witnesses to the new life in Chrhist brought about through the ministry of Peter.

Unit III "The Way of New Life," explores passages from the epistle to the Ephesians church to reflect on how the new creation in Christ intends to shape us and our communities.

Join us every Sunday at 9:15 in the Parlor

The Seekers
