 Adult Music Ministry

The Music Department is a friendly, social, loving, and fun-loving group of musicians. New people are always welcome! We have fun in our rehearsals, take joy in doing our role as musicians, and we also look forward to our annual department Christmas party! We know that we are twice blessed: the gift of talent is ours to enjoy, but we are also charged to use this gift to the glory of God. As J. S. Bach said in his motto: Soli Deo Gloria.

Chancel Choir

The (adult) Chancel Choir, sings in worship services most Sundays. This is a non-auditioned group who love music and camaraderie with their fellow singers. They rehearse on Wednesday nights from 7:30 - 9:00 PM in the music building. There are occasional extra rehearsals for special occasions such as Christmas and Easter.  A nursery is provided, and during the school year, a delicious Fellowship Dinner at a bargain price is served beforehand at 5:45 PM. The choir takes a July vacation, and returns, refreshed, in August, to start anew.

Common Chord

A group that likes to explore newer Christian music, Common Chord rehearses every other Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and leads worship every other Sunday.  This is a group with an alternative instrumentation, rather than the usual organ and piano musical leadership. If you play an instrument, this would be the place for you. Whatever instruments, vocal or man-made, that the members bring to the group, these are incorporated into the music style that Common Chord will present. There is always room for a new member and/or instrument.

Jubilation Ringers

The Bell Choir holds its rehearsal on Wednesday nights at 6:30-7:30, which enables the members to dine at  the Fellowship Dinner beforehand, and remain for the Chancel Choir rehearsal at 7:30 if they wish to be in both groups. The Bells generally participate in worship once a month, and occasionally provide concerts for the congregation.

Men's Chorus

The Men's Chorus represents a whole new perspective to the ethos of the Music Ministry. This group enjoys singing gospels and spirituals.  The men sing  in worship approximately once a month, and have been a terrific asset to the worship services. They rehearse briefly, following worship services, as their schedules allow.
